Kid Paddle?

First things first: The graphics and most ideas were simply stolen from Midam, the comicbook writer of Kid Paddle. You could've made the main character "The Little Barbarian" so it would've been a tribute instead of a stolen piece.
Please give the man some credit! He deserves it!

Graphics: The brown-hooded butchers are as good as traced, so minus for that. You got some nice death animations and the bloodsplatters were pretty realistic.

Gameplay: The mechanics are AWEFUL. The collisions were misplaced, you die by jumping on an edge and the butchers kill you if you jump OVER them. Serious mistake there. (Yes, I AM aware you can only lure the 1st one in a trap)

Controls: Left, Right, Up and Down. Simple, but okay. I would've liked a better jump physics and a steady jump height. When I play a game, I seriously don't feel like pressing the Up arrow for half an hour.

Over-all: Not too bad, but as a Kid Paddle-fan I feel offended of the extreme similarities, but with a different main character. Work on the collisions and physics, since those are just agonizing. I like the Shift and Enter buttons.

It´s not stolen, man. It was inspired! If I would have used the little barbarian it would have been stolen though.
If you would have played it through you would have seen that I actually gave credit to Kid-Paddle. I just didn´t wrote it in the description because I wondered how many reviewers would recognize the Kid-Paddle-like style. In fact you´re the 4th or 3rd one I guess.

Silky smooth controls and lots of secrets. I simply couldn't change the trousers though. Orange is way too fancy. You were pretty generous with the lives, but that compensates with my attempts on the 6th level.

Is there any chance of this coming to a console?

John 1:14!

Professional but commercialised.
I find the switch weapon idea interesting, and worked out well. It's a tad easy though. The endboss was dead pretty quickly but very enjoyable to play.

However, it doesn't make any sense in the beginnning. You start of with a terrible weak weapon against the same kind of enemies that you'll find later in the game. Those enemies should've been weaker. Some of the music was a bit repetetive.

Wonderful game.

GOD! WHAT IS THE REVIEWTITLE FOR? >:(

This wasn't as a bad game as I got from the reviews. I got some tips for you:
Change from music. Constantly hearing the same tune over drives one nuts.
Levels. There were levels, but they barely differed from each other.
Upgrades. Speaks for itself, I guess. Buying or shooting upgrades would be interesting.

That's all I felt bad about. It's got nice little graphics, I got to admit!

mmmmmyes...

It's fun but unoriginal
I liked:
-That it is a game
-That you had a choice between monsters

Next time, more originality and maybe, even a character creator!!!
(put in: a villain suit withh top hat!! :D)

Woohoo!!

I luv Gorillazzzzzz... Nice soundboard, with good graphics for one!

pfffff...

fun, for the first level, actually B( It's another platformer, with no single twist or something

Question: This game, Grass that grows, paint drying...
Answer: Things that are Boring!!

teehee

fun thing, total freedom and a score that fits with everyone!! :D I really enjoyed this :)

Hint: work on the graphics for crying out loud :)

mmmmhhh...

It's not bad, but not good ether... It misses a boost

varstudios responds:

There is a boost powerup.

Superb

Super. Few points I want to attend you: Drawings could've been better, for example Suzys feet were like fallen of and put back on her body with glue! :D
Great voiceacting but sometimes Jack annoyed me. Though Greatest point'n'click ever!
